A Persian patchwork rug is unlike any other floor covering you can buy. Rather than being woven as a single piece, each rug is assembled by hand from fragments of authentic antique and vintage kilims — flat-woven tribal rugs that were cut, matched by color and pattern family, and stitched together to form a new composition.
The result is a rug that carries the visual weight of multiple weaving traditions in a single piece: Qashqai geometric borders meeting tribal Luri field patterns, warm brick reds alongside deep indigos and faded saffron yellows.
No two patchwork rugs are identical. Each one is a unique collage, which is why interior designers and collectors specifically seek them out when they want a rug that is guaranteed to be one-of-a-kind.
What Makes Our Patchwork Rugs Authentic?
Every patchwork rug in our collection is assembled from fragments of genuinely handmade Iranian kilims — not machine-made reproductions cut and reassembled to look aged.
The source fragments come from actual tribal weavings, which means the wool is natural, the dyes are traditional vegetable and mineral-based, and the patterns carry the authentic design vocabulary of specific Iranian tribes and regions.
Our workshops in Iran select, clean, and hand-stitch these fragments with a care that preserves the integrity of the original weaving. This is what separates a genuine Persian patchwork from the mass-produced “patchwork style” rugs sold elsewhere.
Sizes and Prices
Our patchwork rugs are available in a wide size range to suit any room. Small accent pieces from 1–1.5 m² start from €290, ideal as hallway runners, bedside rugs, or layering pieces. Medium rugs from 2–3 m² range from €405 to €580, suitable for seating areas and reading nooks.
Larger pieces from 4–6 m² are priced from €655 to €1,586, anchoring full living rooms and dining spaces. For oversized spaces, our largest pieces reach 6 m² — ask us about custom assemblies if you need a specific dimension.
How to Style a Persian Patchwork Rug
The patchwork format is one of the most versatile in Persian rug design because its multi-panel composition naturally draws the eye without overwhelming a room. It works particularly well layered over a neutral base rug in a living room, placed under a dining table where the varied patterns remain visible between chair legs, or used in a studio or workspace where visual texture adds warmth without formality. The earthy, naturally-faded palette of most kilim patchworks pairs well with raw wood, linen, leather, and exposed brick — the materials increasingly favored in contemporary interiors.
